There has been discussion amongst Lindsay Lohan’s inner circle whether it would be beneficial for her to go through rehab for drug treatment at a Holistic Drug Rehab center when her prison term ends. She received a ninety day sentence for violation of her probation which was part of her conviction for DUI in 2007.

One center which seems likely is in California and is  the Malibu Beach Recovery Center . This center provides various holistic therapies.

Part of her sentence was the requirement for to go through some form of drug treatment for her misuse of prescription drugs.

Fox News had the drug addiction expert Marty Brenner on one of their programs to discuss the actress’s problems. He said that she would be likely to be treated with Yoga, diet and meditation. All this is designed to help her with detoxification for the prescription drugs.

A spokesperson for the treatment center said that a customized diet would be prepared which would exclude all refined foods and concentrate on wholefoods. She would also take a course of nutrition supplements and participate in the center’s exercise program.

Lindsay received a ninety day prison sentence buit is unlikely to serve much more than 14 days. The stay at the residential center will become part of the sentence so that in all probability she will serve close to 45 days in total.

The David Smith Youth Treatment Centre has ten beds for residential drug rehabilitation for females and will be opened in August 2010.

It has also been revealed that a similar drug treatment facility will  be opened in Ottawa in the near future, this will be for all males.

BBC News reports that a new drug and alcohol detox centre has opened in cornwall, this centre at Boswyns is a residential centre and will accommodate fifteen people.

Chief Exec said that it was the first service of its type to open in the UK, usually patients had to go abroad. He also said: It is meant to be for Cornish people, there is a real need for a detoxification centre in Cornwall, people think the problemas are in the inner cities only but it’s just as bad here in Cornwall.

The detox courses will last for about 2 to 6 weeks, nursing and counselling support will be provided 24 hours a day.

This service will work with drug charities from all over the UK and also with the NHS.

I have a friend who just got out of rehab for patients, he said that there are many other teenagers spend their time there. I wondered why.

I think the reason why most adolescents had not spent his time in rehab that your friend comes out is the fact that adolescents are more likely addicts. Peers play a big role in what it is about a young person starts using drugs or not. Those who do not use drugs during adolescence are less likely to start taking it when they get older. Each day about 4,800 Americans under 18 try marijuana for the first time. Therefore, governmental organizations and others are trying to prevent teenagers from taking more drugs.

I do not get what drug addiction medicines are for.

In short, drugs that help in the treatment of addiction. Helps eliminate withdrawal symptoms. Having withdrawal symptoms is mainly which makes it difficult for a patient to stop eating themselves. Therefore, the drug that is capable of releasing a person these symptoms would be too severe. Another reason why drugs are necessary for the treatment of addiction is because it brings back the patient to normal brain function. It also restores the body’s state of health.
